Okapis

An Okapi

Okapis were not discovered until 1901. Here's a picture of one hiding in the jungle.

They only live in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and are shy and solitary.

Okapis are related to giraffes, but they're only about the same height as an adult human.

Basel Zoo has some good media on its website.

They have long, bluish, prehensile tongues. Only males have horns.
